Optional Summer Term Uniform (between the Easter holidays and October half-term):

Dress or playsuit:

• Blue and white checked;
• Available from local supermarkets;
• If wearing cycling shorts under dresses for modesty, black, grey or white only;

Or, if wearing grey trousers/shorts:

Polo shirt:

• A softer, pull‑over top with a collar and usually 2–3 buttons at the neck, made from more casual, knitted fabric;
• Light Blue;
• Available from local supermarkets;
• Not worn with a tie;

PE

PE T-shirt:

• Royal Blue with school logo (optional - available from Stitch-a-Logo or Pre-loved uniform);
• Or a plain royal blue T-shirt (available from local supermarkets and shops);

Shorts

• Navy shorts;
• Available from local supermarkets and shops;

Trainers:

• Sturdy soles with good grip;
• No flashing lights or sounds;

Tracksuit:

• Plain blue or black tracksuit;
• School-branded tracksuit is optional and available from Stitch-a-log or Pre-loved uniform. 

If tights are worn to school, pack a pair of socks to change into for PE.

Accessories:

Hair:

• Hair accessories such as hairbands, should be discreet and in school colours;

• Long hair (that reaches the shirt collar) must be tied up at all times;
• Hair should be of natural colour and not involve shaven sides, obvious ‘steps’ and/or razor lines;
   

Earrings:

• Small studs only (plain or jewelled) – no hooped earrings;
• No earrings worn on PE days (they will not be able to take part in PE unless your child can remove the earrings themselves);

Nails, Make-up and Transfers

• Children should not wear nail varnish to school, for health and safety reasons, as the nail bed is an area a first-aider may need to check if there is any injury to the hand, arm or feet;
• Makeup is not allowed;
• Temporary tattoo transfers are not permitted;

Jewellery

• Children are welcome to wear watches (without alarms) – an analogue clock face preferable;
• Smartwatches are not permitted;
• No rings;
• Small objects of religious significance (i.e. a cross, worn on a chain beneath the shirt);

We ask the children to either remove earrings and all other jewellery items during PE lessons.

Bags

• Book bags can be purchased from the school office in red, yellow, blue or green to match your child’s House group;
• PE kits must be kept in a drawstring bag;
• Rucksacks are permissible on occasion when additional sports kit is required for clubs or swimming lessons;
