Relationships and Health Education

As each, individual child in our school develops, they are preparing to become a successful contributor to society. The teaching of Relationships and Health Education at St John the Baptist aims to provide our children with the personal and social skills necessary to prosper in today’s world and partake fully in our community. In order to do this, we endeavor to equip them with the necessary knowledge about risk and skills to keep themselves safe and make informed decisions. This is achieved at St John the Baptist through a broad curriculum that should provide the children with skills in the management of personal relationships, understanding and expressing emotions, understanding the impact of one’s decisions on oneself and others, respect for those who are different from oneself, workplace behaviour and the management of money and other finite resources.
