"God made each person, so every life is important and should be protected."

We believe every human person is made in the image and likeness of God. This is a gift that we all share as fellow human beings; we are all infinitely loved by our Creator.

God is present in every human person, regardless of religion, culture, nationality, orientation or economic standing. Each one of us is unique and beautiful. We are called to treat every person and every creature with loving respect. 

Through celebrating our similarities and differences, the wealth of languages and cultures within our school family and the tapestry of human communities our curriculum supports the pupils' developing understanding, tolerance, acceptance and the wonder of difference.

What does this look like at SJB?

We ‘live’ our School’s Mission statement

We celebrate special days e.g. World Down Syndrome Day, Passport to the World, Anti-bullying Week, 

We learn about other faiths

We pray for those in need

We celebrate the many different nationalities, cultures and languages that make our school special
