Agree admissions to the school and oversee the administration of admissions. Review and revise, as appropriate, the admission arrangements for the school with reference to, and in accordance with, the Schools Admissions Code and Diocesan guidance. 

Arrange admission appeals by an independent panel.

To ensure the management of school finances complies with all statutory, legislative and Hampshire County Council requirements.

Responsible for the budget; helping to set the budget and monitoring spending against the budget.

To ensure the site and premises comply with Health and Safety requirements.

Monitoring the maintenance programme and building projects; ensuring the premises are maintained and improved where necessary.

Responsible for the recruitment and retention of staff; their welfare, personal development and training. To ensure performance management is undertaken within statutory guidelines. The committee acts as the Pay Committee in accordance with the Pay Policy.

Review and revise, when necessary, school policies relevant to resources.

Covers all aspects of the school curriculum, monitoring of targets and achievement; receiving subject leader reports; monitoring progress and attainment of all children; ensuring the school fulfils its responsibilities for children with special educational needs.

To ensure the delivery of the RE curriculum in accordance with Diocesan guidelines.

Monitor and evaluate school data in relation to the strengths and weaknesses of the performance of the school.

Review and revise, when necessary, school policies relevant to standards and pupils.
